Senior Logistics Specialist

Area of responsibility: full logistics support during pre-project phase (evaluation of expediency of partnership with potential suppliers), including the calculation of cargo volume, suitable packaging type & packaging lot assumption, delivery method proposal, route design, judgement on necessity of logistics partners’ engagement in order to use their warehouse and / or repacking services; searching for the opportunities to raise competitiveness of current & potential local suppliers by logistics costs reduction, direct involvement in logistics costs reduction projects as the project leader (ex.: supplier’s production site relocation, current routes re-design in order to combine the cargo from several suppliers’ for higher transport loading efficiency); potential suppliers development for reaching high Toyota standards (this part is revealed in details within “Project specialist” position description).

Project: new model launch with a significant increase in local parts quantity. Scope of activities within the project: providing of initial logistics audit at future local suppliers’ production sites, revealing of problem areas & potential risks (business trips in different locations within Russia); preparation of reports, based on the audit results, feedback to suppliers; reconciliation of improvement plans with suppliers, control of in-time task fulfillment by suppliers; providing of secondary logistics audit (gathering of improvements implementation evidences, check of newly established processes); trainings for suppliers, dedicated to explain how to work in according with the Toyota standards (based on SDAM: Supplier Delivery Assurance Manual); learning of best practices in logistics & production control, sharing them across the suppliers; taking part in regular meetings & phone conferences with the Toyota European head office & with local project team; preparation of presentations & reports on project status for company management; development & realization of plan for internal systems parameters setup; control of Toyota Web EDI portal access granted to suppliers, control of direct EDI connection establishment between TMR & suppliers. Project successfully launched in the end of September, 2019. Responsibilities after the project launch (October, 2019 – December, 2019): Study of Russian automotive market in order to further increase the percent of localization; control of local suppliers KPI; preparation of reports for company top management.

Area of responsibility: working in the system for automatic parts ordering (E-kanban), setup and maintenance of correct system parameters, communication with global helpdesk service in case of technical problems; short-term & mid-term local parts consumption forecasts creation & reconciliation with suppliers; supplier performance & internal processes evaluation through KPI; claim work (quantity, quality & shipments delay); participation in plant-wide stocktaking activities (control of process, audit of stocktaking results); newcomers training organization, task setting & control of tasks fulfillment (2 assistants); cost reduction ideas generation, calculation of cost effect & realization of approved proposals. Completed projects / personal achievements: 1) development & implementation of training program for new members of local parts procurement team (team expansion due to significant increase of local part numbers quantity), including training plan creation, processes documentation, development of procedures & work instructions (system manuals in particular); 2) automatic data transfer from ordering system (“E-kanban”) to accounting system (“1C: УПП”). Purpose: to reduce working hours, spent on manual input of order data in accounting system & to avoid possible input mistakes. Scope of activities within the project: purpose explanation to IT department / vendor, SRS creation, testing of new functions as an end user; 3) second model production launch (RAV4). Scope of activities within the project: parts ordering for trial assembly stages & shop trainings, new stock policy development, calculation of space, required for new parts storage, definition of optimal deliveries per day quantity (delivery by trucks), control of suppliers’ readiness for the start of production (SOP); 4) new TNGA Camry launch. Scope of activities within the project: same as p.3.

Area of responsibility: Ordering of parts from European Union countries; shipping documents processing (invoices, bills of lading, packing lists); pipeline control (internal stock, parts in transit); containers unloading / robbing plans creation on daily basis; interaction with plant shops, logistics & customs service providers, Toyota European head office (TME) Completed projects / personal achievements: Cost reduction 34 RUB / vehicle by optimization of container robbing operations

Area of responsibility: ordering and stock control for the following categories: consumables, tools, equipment, spare parts for equipment, uniform, PPE (approximately 10000 SKU, more than 100 suppliers); control of commodities consumption level by shops / departments; KPI update and analysis; participation in stocktaking activity; cost reduction ideas generation / calculation of cost saving Completed projects / personal achievements: acted as the leader of the project, aimed for simplification & standardization of business processes, related with indirect commodities. Expected result: to maintain just-in-time deliveries of all warehouse items without participation of specialists (transfer specialists’ functions to warehouse staff). What was done: business processes re-design, creation of process flow-charts, development of manuals & working instructions for warehouse operators, full training of warehouse members. Also, a software requirement specification (SRS) for development of additional system reports in “1C:УПП” was written & reconciled, reports implemented (information about commodities turnover period, actual delivery lead time, shop-by-shop planned vs. actual consumption, average stock value, etc.).
